It all started around 6 pm , Thursday evening…I was going through to be induced. We were sitting and walking up yhr corridors of the ward. A “Zoe Volunteer” was helping another pregnant lady on the bouncing ball. I joined them, at this point I started feeling pain- boy oh boy I did not realize that my night was going to turn out to be very intense. The Zoe Volunteer quickly came over to me and started helping me by asking questions, gave me massage and supporting me. Things started to turn ugly quickly, from having contractions to vomiting and shaking so bad- I was feeling so cold. The Zoe Volunteer held my hand from this point on. I would squeeze her hand so tight in pain that I wondered if I was hurting her hand. Looking back, she did not leave my side.

The Doctor came in and told me they had to operate. I knew the Zoe Volunteer had to go home at some point but she stayed with me. The Doctor confirmed the baby was breech. I had my baby- delivered a beautiful baby girl.

I had always known the ZOE ANGELS are thereabout I had not met one until I met Natalie. She went beyond your working hours, went beyond helping someone by letting me squeeze your hands as hard as I did, leaning on you and you cleaning up after me. To think of you makes me emotional. God sent you - I am forever indebted to you!
