A lively and diverse suburb of Cape Town, Retreat is where The Zoe Project’s story began. This vibrant community inspired the organisation’s founding, driven by the urgent needs of local women and children. With a small but passionate team, The Zoe Project took its first steps in Retreat, determined to create meaningful change and uplift those most in need.

While our organisation has grown and expanded its reach to other areas of Cape Town, Retreat remains the cornerstone of our work. It’s more than a place—it’s the foundation of a mission that continues to thrive. To this day, The Zoe Project provides essential services to the women and families of Retreat, from maternal health support to counselling and empowerment programs.
